Share it Sunday! Free tutorial - Radiant Sunflower Birthday

Happy Sunday - Time to share another great project and free tutorial!  It is finally starting to feel like fall in TN and I am so very happy.  Today I'm sharing a beautiful fall birthday card made with the Radiant Sunflower bundle.  To me what really makes this card special is running the DSP through with the Softly Woven 3D EF - just gives that background such a great look.  Hope you like it as much as I do! Enjoy!

 Measurements:

 ·       Golden Glow Card Stock (CS): 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored @ 4 ¼” on long side

·       Early Espresso CS:  4” x 5 ¼

·       Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper (DSP): 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”

·       Very Vanilla CS: 3 ¾” x 5”, 1 ½” x 2 5/8”, 3” x ½” strip for sentiment

Instructions:

 1.    Burnish Golden Glow card base along score line.

2.    Use the second smallest Scalloped Christmas Cheer Die to cut a frame from the center of the Early Espresso card stock (this cut out will be hidden by the DSP in step 4).

3.    Run the sunflower print DSP through the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder and roll over/distress the top right and bottom left corners.  Adhere to the Early Espresso 4 x 5 ¼” CS layer.

4.    Cut 6” of the ribbon and use Tear N Tape to adhere to the back of the above piece.  Tie a knot on the left side of the ribbon, as pictured, and trim as desired. Adhere to card base.

5.    Using a Blending Brush, lightly apply Golden Glow ink to center of Very Vanilla CS and adhere to center of Early Espresso Scalloped Frame.

6.    Use Radiant Sunflowers Dies to cut the flower (Cajun Craze), flower center (early espresso), leaves (Old Olive), and vase (Radiant Foils).  Use Glue dots to assemble as shown.

7.    Use the Golden Glow Shimmer Brush to add sparkle to the accent lines on the sunflower and leaves die cuts.

8.    Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the frame with vase to the center of card front over the ribbon.

9.    Stamp the sentiment on the strip of Very Vanilla CS using Early Espresso ink. Use the Detail Scissors to angle-cut each end.

10. If desired, use the blending brush to add Golden Glow ink to the edges of the sentiment strip.

11.  Adhere the sentiment with liquid glue or glue dot over the vase and with a Stampin’ Dimensional on the right side so it is the same level as the part over the vase.

12. Adhere the 3 ¾” x 5” Very Vanilla CS panel to the inside of card after stamping and decorating as desired.
