Sunday Morning Musings - Shoebox Swapping with my TEAM!

So much going on in my life - but I LOVE getting some time to just sit and have some fresh coffee out of a beautiful mug - and relax with stamping and creating.  I get such peace and enjoyment from this hobby and business of mine.  Thank God everyday for this blessing.
So we ended our last Team meeting as we always do - with a Shoebox Swap - and it was fun, as always!  Here are Annette and Paula checking out some card samples.
Below is Annette's card for the Shoebox Swap -note the wink of Stella glimmer on the fern -
Here is Paula's Card -Cannot believe this stamp set is being retired - if you love BUGS, then be sure to order this one before it is gone for good!
And the final card I'm sharing today is Teri's swap card - this was her first swap with our group - and she incorporated another hobby of hers (photography) into her creation.  Sorry for a bit of glare on the photo.
Great cards ladies - had so much fun creating with you.  I have a few more to share soon from this event!  Our next TEAM meeting is in July, and then I'm looking at a special TEAM event for this fall and hoping it all falls into place.  See you soon! ~Maureen

Sunday Morning Musings!

So - I just have to say that I am Happy Happy!!! I won this grandfather clock on Wheel of Fortune back in the fall of 1988 and was so excited as I had always wanted one.  But since that time we moved, and moved, and moved, and moved and moved - and through all that it just quit working. It has not worked since we moved to Prescott last June and I was so sad.  So for Christmas I told hubby that all I wanted was to get my grandfather clock fixed.  The repair guy who came out in January needed to take it apart and the pieces back to his shop.  He completely cleaned it, and fixed and oiled it (we had never had it professionally serviced) - then he ran it several weeks in the shop to be sure all was working.  And yesterday it came home.  It sounds like heaven when the chimes play.  What a wonderful warmth it brings to our house.  Thanks for getting if fixed honey!!!
Another thing that just makes me happy are homemade cookies. The kiddos have been gone on vacation all week and were coming home yesterday.  So I made a batch of oatmeal, toffee, chocolate chip cookies and they are yummy!  I just love how they look in this vintage cookie jar that belonged to Paul's Gramma.  They just make me smile!!
Thankfully everyone got home safe and all is well.  So glad to have them back.  Here's a meme for all my friends and family who don't live in Arizona -
One more reason to love Arizona - no changing of the clocks.  Just saying - ha, ha!!!  Stop back tomorrow for some more stamping fun and a blog candy giveaway!!  ~Maureen

Sunday Morning Musings -

The house is really quiet this morning as Jenee and the kiddos are off for a week of vacation plans during Spring break.  So - it's just Paul and I - although I miss them all - it's kind of nice :)  This is Jenee's mug I'm using - it so fits her personality.  But since they're gone - for this week - I'm Queen of Everything - lol!
So here's my thoughts for this Sunday - Spring is a coming!!!  My ornamental plum tree is full of these beautiful blossoms and it just makes my heart smile.  Also, all my iris plants have sent up their wonderful green leaves - can't wait till they are in full bloom.
Here's a picture of three of my lovies - Zamarah, Prince and Paisley - in front of that tree this week.
And then had to share a picture of my other four lovies - Kyan, Makai, Zavian and Kamili - at their house, ready for Dr. Suess day at school.  Heidi actually made those costumes out of felt and puff paints - truly amazing.  I am so blessed with these seven amazing grand-kids!
Now Paul and I are off to church and a few other errands and then having a relaxing Sunday together.  Yesterday was crazy getting laundry and packing, etc. done for the crew.  Plus she had a photo appt. for the kids and I had an open house for my stamping classes at the local Joann's - all after a couple weeks of  me being sick - so a day of rest is just want I needed.  See you soon! Have a blessed Sunday! ~Maureen

Sunday Morning Musings from a former sickie! and a Happy Birthday Wish!

Happy Sunday - praising God for this day of feeling good as the last 24 hours were miserable!  This is my first cup of coffee since dinner Friday night - I was so, so sick.  Woke up in the middle of the night with such a bad headache - felt like my head was going to explode.  Then around 9:30 AM - the stomach stuff hit - I threw up about every 1/2 hour all day till 10:30 PM - could not eat a thing.  A little sip of water sent me running to the bathroom.  But around 11PM I could tell I was doing better.  By this morning, I was able to eat and have coffee again!!!!  My only after affect is a pulled muscle in my back from all the heaving.  Sorry for the graphic account - but these are my musings :)
Love this set up coffee mugs I received for Christmas last year from my friend, Septembra.  It is a set of four in different colors, and every time I drink from them they remind me of my Mom.  We must have had a set that was similar to these.  And she was also a coffee LOVER.  She is especially on my mind today, as it would have been her 96th birthday if she was still alive - miss her every day!

I also wanted to share a great Sale-a-bration set that you can earn free by placing an order with me for $50 or more - but you have to act fast, as this set is only available through Feb. 15, 2016.  You can order through my website by clicking the SHOP NOW button on the right of this page to view the catalogs, order and have it shipped right to your home.  You don't want to miss out on getting this set.  Below is a masculine version that I made for cards for my brothers' birthdays this year - all seven of them.  If they are reading my blog - they will need to close their eyes so they don't see it - lol!
I recently started a growth group with my downline - and wanted to get a journal just to use for those exercises - so I used the same set to decorate the front of my journal.

And using almost the same layout - made a bunch of these more feminine versions of the card to send out for encouragement to my downline.
~*~*~*~*~
Last, but certainly not least - I want to wish a very happy birthday to this beautiful young woman, my youngest daughter, Heidi.  She shares this birth date with my Mom - which is so cool to me.  I am so very proud of her and all she has done as an entrepreneur, a daughter, a sister, a Mom, a wife and the list goes on.  She is amazing and I'm wishing her a life where truly - the Sky is the limit!!! Love you kiddo!
See you all soon - have a great Sunday!  ~Maureen
Here's the full picture of what is included in this FREE SAB set with your $50 order.  Clicking on it will take you to my website also.

Sunday Morning Musings - my style!

I love Sunday mornings - I love God - I love coffee - I love family - I love stamping and thus begins a new feature of my blog - Sunday Morning Musings.  Blog posts that will cover these topics and more - but probably - mostly COFFEE -
No - really - I think it is.  I drink a minimum of 2 pots of coffee a day.  And my favorite flavor of coffee - is coffee flavored coffee :).  I own over 200 coffee mugs, I never ever ever run out of coffee.  I carry instant BOLD coffee packets in my purse to add to restaurant coffee.  I absolutely love chocolate covered coffee beans.   I have my original Starbucks Gol card when they were still black, not gold, and when I go into Starbucks the baristas are always amazed by it.  Hmmmm - is that enough evidence?  So as I sit here this morning doing my Bible study, drinking an amazing cup of French Roast coffee, and getting ready for church - I am praising God for the deliciousness of coffee (among many other blessings).

So as far as stamping - I wanted to share an adorable tea bag holder (I need to adapt it to hold the Starbucks VIA packets - watch for that in the future.)  Here's a preview of it -
Just click HERE for full details and I'll see you next Sunday with more musings!  ~Maureen
