SU! Embossing Paste - Technique Club

So my Technique Clubs were so much fun this month as we worked with Stampin' Up's! new embossing pastes. These are amazing and a little addictive to work with. Below is a sampling of the plain white paste added to some colored cardstock. It was much easier to work with than I thought it might be - the key though is 1) to have a tub of warm soapy water on the table to through the stencils and tools into as soon as you are done using; and 2) to be sure to keep the lid tightly on the paste when not in use - as it dries out pretty quickly.

Below is the Technique instruction card with the little sample that each lady made to put on it. We used the Shimmer paste for this card - and added several drops of re-inker to make it colored - then applied the same as above and let dry.

So here is a sample of the same shimmer paste used with the lattice stencil - and then I popped up the sentiment and mermaid from the Magical Day Bundle.

And yet another sample with the Magical Day bundle - but this one used the Silver paste - which is a bit different than the others. I love how it looks, but 1) it is a little bit more liquidy to work with - works, but just thinner in consistency; and 2) it takes about 30 min to dry as opposed to the 10 min with the white and shimmer. So although I really love the look - we did not do at a workshop.

And here is the same card from an angle so you can see the texture of the bricks - as well as the dragon and knight popped up on dimensionals.

This is really fun to work with - and like I said a little addictive. The extra texture on the cards make them truly pop - and all for very little effort. Just a little patience.
