Ready to take wing....

Today I'm sharing the second card we made at this month's Cards and Coffee Class.  I love everything about this card.  The color combo, the collage look, the beautiful butterfly.  I cannot imagine anyone receiving this and not wanting to just "smile"!
Here is a close up so you can see how we just layered some fun images randomly behind our butterfly to give it a light and airy collage look.
You can see below how the wings curve up and look like this butterfly is ready to just take off and fly.  Even after putting it in an envelope and mailing off - you will still have a bit of this feel once the envelope is opened again.  It's important to curve them gently with your fingers or bone folder ahead of time to keep this look.
Finally - I try to always decorate my envelopes - why not let the fun begin as soon as the recipient sees it amongst the pile of bills - lol!

Hope you enjoyed this pretty card - see the pics below for the products we used to create this.  You can always see my upcoming local events (if you live the Prescott, AZ area) - by clicking the "Upcoming Stamping Events" link at the top of this page. ~Maureen

Collage - bookmark

Here's the beautiful bookmark we made at Club using last month's technique - collage.  This project used one of my favorite Stampin' Up! nature sets "Nature Walk."  We softened the look by using lighter colors - Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery and Perfect PlumThe bird is stamped, colored, cut out and popped up on dimensionals.  Added a lace trim ruffled along the bottom and a tassle at the top.
This bookmark (the perfect size to tuck into a card) would also make a lovely gift tag on a gifr for a special friend.  Thanks for stopping by.  ~Maureen
