Secret Sister Gifts - Part 4

Here we go with some more great gifts from our Secret Sister Exchang - first I want to share my gift from Virginia - she downloaded one of my favorite pictures from facebook.  It's a picture of me and my six grandkids the day we made gingerbread houses.  Then she mounted it on this decorated platform and gave it to me with a wooden easel to display it on.
Me and my gift!
Making Gingerbread houses with the kiddos is one of my favorite days each year - and this is a great way to display that memory for me every day.  Thanks Virginia!!
Close-up of me and my true loves :)
Next I want to share this package that arrived for Maria from Bobbie.  Here is the outside packaging - adorable!
Cute "Maria" pennant!
Unfortunately Maria was under the weather the day of our party and didn't make it- but I know she loved this gift when it got to her.  Here is what was inside - this amazing bulletin board for Maria's craft area.

"CREATE" bulletin board. Note the cute button push pins.
These gifts were great - but we're not done yet - check back soon for some MORE Secret Sister gifts!  -Maureen

Downline Christmas Party

Yesterday was our annual Crazy Stamping Lady Christmas Party and as usual we had a great time.  Several of our regulars couldn't make it due to a family death; family illnesses and illness of one of the ladies - so our group was a little small - but those of us who were there made the best of it.  So for today I'm going to share a few pictures of all the goodies we had to eat - everyone brought something, and the food was WONDERFUL!!

Looks Yummy Huh!
More goodies!

Virginia, Theresa, Lois and Annette working on their project.
Kathy and Theresa.
Kathy, Heidi and Bobbie (Kathy in the background)
Elaine, Bobbie, Sandy, Kathy and Diane working away!
Virginia and Heidi getting the perfect embellishments!

And here is our final project - a rolled paper Christmas tree - this was mine, but each lady had an assortment of papers to roll and could add whatever embellishments they wanted.  If they send me pictures - I'll post their final projects!  The paper sizes are all 1 1/2" top to bottom rolled around a pencil and taped closed - the lengths were   4 1/2", 4", 3 1/2", 3", 2 1/2", 2", 1 1/2", 1" and 3/4" from bottom to top; but you could adjust for any size.  I think they turned out so cute - we put them on a paint can lid as the frame.  Let me know what you think!

I'll be adding more pictures of some of the great Secret Sister gifts we exchanged through out the week so be sure to check back!  Thanks for stopping by.  ~Maureen

Thoughts, Prayers and Secret Sister Gifts

Before anything I want to send out my thoughts and prayers to those who have been affected by the horrific earthquakes and resulting tsunami's today. I work with international students, many who are here from Japan and the other countries affected - and my heart goes out to them. We also have one of my downline who is currently in Hawaii and there was concern on a tsunami there - but as of a bit ago she facebooked they were fine - we are so thankful Maria!! See you when you get back!

On to more Secret Sister gifts - Sandy made this lovely vanity set for her Secret Sister Kathy - Kathy's style is pretty vintage so I can see what Sandy made this. I wish I had taken a picture of it without the shred as the little tray was also lined with matching DSP. It was simply beautiful. You can see more of her work at her blog - http://shadeeladee.blogspot.com/ Next was the gift that Kathy made for her Secret Sister Bobbie - it was a set of great cards - they were just wonderful - and the St. Patrick's Day card behind them stands up with folds on the side - I love it! The last one today is Karen's gift for Her SSS - Maria - look at these goodies - a candle, cards, basket, candy - all so cute! Secret Sisters is sooo much fun - check back soon for more.

Those missing....

Several of my downline couldn't make the Holiday Party due to other commitments - but I want to show the lovely gifts they received from their Secret Sisters - Here is Toni's gift from Jeri. It's a glass box filled with Christmas lights and decorated with mulberry paper and stamped images. When you plug it in the lights give off a soft beautiful glow - perfect for the holidays.
Next is Melissa's gift from her Secreti Sister Bobbie - Bobbie decorated this lovely box with our Deck the Halls Designer Series Papers, ribbon and buttons and a lovely vintage flower. Here is Karen's gift from Melissa - she made her individually stamped BINGO cards, and inside the jar are all the images stamped and colored for drawing them for the game. Also in the basket were round punched markers for the cards and some wonderful chocolate treats - WOW.

This second picture shows one of the cards and marker circles better.
and last but not least - here is the gift Diane gave to Denise. It is a beautiful bamboo serving tray with our "EAT" decor elements on it. There was also a wrapped box with a creamer and sugar set in it, but since it was not stamped on and was wrapped so nicely we decided not to open it. I hope everyone enjoyed getting their gifts and finding out who their 2010 Secret Sister was.
For 2011 we're changing it up a bit. Instead of having Secret Sisters all year long, we are going to do a quarterly name drawing for anyone that would like to participate. Then at our quarterly meetings we'll do a gift exchange, and draw again for anyone that would like to participate the next quarter. That way you can participate when you want, and not when you don't want; and new demos can add in as the come. Should be fun. So watch quarterly for our gift reveals.

Another May CSL Secret Sister Gift

This SSS gift was dropped off for Bobbie at my house - but she didn't actually get it till we got together for our Shoebox swap. It is from her Secret Sister and it's amazing - beginning with the gift bag. Followed by a fantastic card - and ending with this lovely gift plate. Can you believe it!! I hope whoever did this gets me in the secret sister drawing next year :) They used some wonderful flowers of their own plus the ones that Heidi and Julie made and have shown on their blogs - so you can check those out at -
