July Cards, Cards, Cards Stamp Camp

Very Thankful

Hi Everyone -

Here are the cards we did at this month's Cards, Cards, Cards Stamp Camp. We do 6 cards - 2 each of 3 designs for $15.00. This month we used the different images from the SU! Ronald McDonald set "Very Thankful". I love this set because for each set sold SU! donates $2.00 to Ronald McDonald House Charities - but also because it has four different unique looking images - something for everyone you would like to thank! Great idea SU! All three cards also used our in-colors and our in-color polka dot ribbon. The peacock was done using the thumping technique, and the card below uses the new Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper. My next stamp camp will be the end of August due to Convention. Check out all my upcoming events at my calendar on my SU! website http://www.stampingwithmaureen.stampinup.net/. Thanks for looking! ~Maureen

Overwhelming Week...

So it's been a really busy week and I haven't been on here as often as I would have liked. Sunday Heidi, Kamili, Makai and I headed to Disneyland for the day. They had their Season passes, and I got in FREE for my birthday - what a deal!! It was so hot - temps over 100 - and we were melting - but had a lot of fun. I'll try and post some pics tomorrow. Then Monday night I spend getting ready for Tuesday when I welcomed 20 new International Students to College - it was our assessment and orientation day. Always a lot of fun as I welcome the new students - but also a lot of work. Tuesday evening I had my monthly Cards, Cards, Cards Stamp Camp - will also post those pics soon, and Wednesday our entire crew got together to celebrate my birthday - NO WONDER I'M TIRED!!

Here's a picture of my challenge card for our Downline meeting July 4 - the challenge was to make a patriotic card - which was really tough since we have few patriotic stamps in our current catalog. But I think it turned out cute, and I tied for first place in the challenge. The idea for the pop-out star came from Martha Stewart's website - I couldn't get the URL to work here - sorry.

Thanks for looking!

Thank you all for the terrific cards and for remembering me!!

Giggley (is that a word?) cousins

These are my grandkids - I just love this picture. It was hard getting a family picture where everyone looked great - and the kids were just full of energy. But then the photographer was doing pics of just the kids and I think this just captured their energy - happy and full of giggles. I'm the luckiest Gramma in the world that they are all close by and I get to see them every few days. This was taken last Nov., so I need to get some updated photos loaded.

Loved this paper... Still love the set...

This is a project we made last month at our Anything But A Card (ABC) stamp camp. I love the Fifth Avenue Floral but I also loved this DSP - wish it wasn't gone. For the project we purchased metal flashing and cut to fit in the frame. The clothespin is adhered to the glass with sticky strip. At first we thought we couldn't use the glass, but the heavy duty magnets worked right through it. The project turned out great!! Check out my SU website for a complete list of my upcoming stamp camps and classes.

Hostess Appreciation Event 7/11/09

Hi everyone - yesterday my daughter Heidi (in my downline) and I had our annual Hostess Appreciation Luncheon event. If I had know I was going to try and get my blog off the ground I would have taken more pictures, but I did want to share the two make and take projects they got to make -
This is a 3x3" gift card made with Bella's Bloom. The new Melon Mambo in color worked great with Chocolate Chip and Old Olive - to create this cute little card that Heidi designed. Then I used all the cute jars in Stampin' Up's current catalog as the inspiration to design this little jar (which I purchased at Michael's) using Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and Crushed Curry. It also showcases the Daisy diecut. I love the touch of little butterfly on top - and then we had them fill their jars when completed with yummy chocolates.
We appreciate our hostesses so much and we all had so much fun! Contact me know to book your Stampin' Up! workshop so you can come to our next Hostess Appreciation event. Thanks for stopping by - M
