Paper Pumpkin Possibilities - Fluttering Garden - March 2026

 

Welcome to our Paper Pumpkin Possibilities blog hop!!!  I am so excited to be a part of this team of hoppers sharing alternative designs for each month's Paper Pumpkin kit.  This month's kit is all about the March 2026 "Fluttering Garden" kit!!  Hopefully what we show will inspire you.  Be sure to hop all the way through to see what this amazing team has come up with!

 I absolutely love hummingbirds - so was so excited to get this beautiful kit.

It is beautiful just the way it came, but - you all know I love to color - so I could not just let those lined items the way they were.  I used one base and cut it apart to make two beautiful alternatives.  

My first is cut down to 3 3/4" x 5" and stamped along the bottom with Tuxedo Black Memento ink - then colored with Blends.  The colors I used on both coordinate with the kit: Pretty Peacock, Peach Pie, Balmy Blue, Pool Party and Mossy Meadow.  I layered it onto a base of Lost Lagoon.

Then I added components from the kit to finish it.  I also colored the embellishments from the kit with the Dark Peach Pie blend.

The envelopes in this kit are beautiful - 

 

For my second alternative I cut my layer to 4" x 5 1/4" and layered it onto a base of Secret Sea.  After stamping and coloring as above - I added gems - this time colored with the Pretty Peacock blend.  The I popped up the largest hummingbird as if sipping nectar from the flowers.

Since I am doubling my cards from the bases - I need to use additional envelopes - so here is how I decorated this one to coordinate.
