Welcome to our Inspire - Create - Share Blog Hop for November 2024! So glad you are here! Christmas is right around the corner - before you know it, it will be here!
All of our projects this month focus on just that - Christmas is coming!
You might be hopping on over here from Elizabeth's site - who had some elegant holiday inspiration for us! Be sure to hop on through all the great blogs below for more inspiration!

So I love the idea of creating a great piece of decorative art to be displayed in someone's home for the holidays! Either my own home - or to gift. I started with the Happy Houseplants kit - now you could certainly make up the kit just the way it comes and give the finished products as gifts. Or you could even give the kit as it to a crafty friend.

So I used the brayer to add Pretty Peacock in to the mat from the frame. I went over it several times till I got it the depth of color I wanted. You could continue till it was solid - but I liked the mottled look - and the glass mat made clean up so easy!
For my project I was using a 6"x6" piece of the Oxidized Copper Specialty paper for my background - and I wanted more of it to show, so I ended up cutting down the mat to 1/2" and using it like a border around my image so more of the Copper would show.
Then, using the Shepherd's Care stamp set - I created this beautiful scene. The Shepherd was fussy cut and popped up on dimensionals - making it more 3D - and these frames work perfect for that.
After that I just added a few rhinestone gems to the sky to add some sparkle and put it all in my frame - these frames are great as they have both a hanger for hanging and an easel for standing - so you can display as you wish. I really love how it came together!
But, you are probably wondering, if you use your frames to do this, what do you do with the rest of your pieces of the kit. Well, I did what we do best - make a card!!
I cut my plant base piece from the kit down to a cardfront layer size - 4" x 5 1/4" and layered it onto a Granny Apple Green card base. Completed the image as show in the kit, added a sentiment (from "Textured Floral"), some Iridescent Adhesive backed Discs and a cute little bow-
I then used some foliage from "Spotlight on Nature" set and stamped it on the inside of the card and on the envelope - coming down from the top to mimic the hanging plant.
To continue our "Christmas is Coming" theme - you could do all four images from the kit on cards, tie them up with a bow - and they become another fun Christmas gift. How fun is that!
Hope you liked this idea, and will try it!
Now be sure to follow the hop through and see what other creative ideas this team came up with.
