Paper Crafting Blog Hop October 2024 - the Season of Fall!

 

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop for October 2024 - featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. For my project I decided to play with the Autumn Leaves set and dies on page 74 of our annual catalog. I so love everything about fall - the crisp air, cooler temperatures, less bugs, but one of my very favorite things is the changing leaves color. So I thought I'd share a bit about my process - I stamped and cut out a bunch of leaves and then laid them on my embossed piece of Crumb Cake to find my layout. Here was my first try - I laid it out and took a picture so that I could recreate it.

But I really didn't love it - so I tried again - took another picture and then I could compare them on my phone.

I liked this one much better!  So I glued all the leaves down and pulled out my dauber to add Cajun Crave to the leaves, to make them a little more natural looking.

Then I pulled out my Rhinestone Jewels and my Cajun Craze blend to color some for my card -

I layered my leaf layer onto a layer of Cajun Craze and onto a card base of Very Vanilla.  Added a double linen thread bow and scattered the colored gems on the front of the card - and LOVE it!

Here's a close up of the details that just made me happy!!
