Maui Elite SU! Incentive Trip! Day 4

Hi all - if you want creative posts - I will try to get some in - but over the next 10 days I'm going to be posting about the awesome Stampin' Up! Maui Elite trip I was able to earn thanks to all my wonderful and supportive customers and team.  I did this for Greece two years ago, and still love those posts - so please - bear with me.

Day 4  - Tuesday, May 18, 2021

It's another day of excursions - so that means grab and go breakfast.  This morning yougurt, fruit, delicious Hawaiian granola, juice and breakfast burritos.
We decided to rent a car for a couple days and do some exploring - so after breakfast we headed almost straight up the island through Kihei and then over around to the east on the way to Hana.
Just like the rainfall I mentioned before - the East side of the island is more lush and the West side more dry.  Also the waves were higher - lots of surfers and wind surfers -
And trees with most of their root system above ground because they can gather so much moisture from the humidity in the air.
Don't know if you can see in the picture - but there is a line down the mountain - and to the right lush and green - to the left brown - it's crazy in person!
The road to Hana was mighty twisty and I fell to car sickness so had to close my eyes and rest for a lot of the trip - but Paul loved all the twists and turns. Then lunch was a bit of a fiasco - the first restaurant would not let us eat there unless we'd been in Hawaii 14 days due to Covid rules; the second little place looked great but no public bathrooms - so we ended up at a Jersey Mike's which was just fine :)  Came back to the hotel and just relaxed for the afternoon -
So much beauty here to enjoy - orchids everywhere -
For dinner we went to a local restaurant - The Pint & Cork.  That's were I got my Blue Hawaiian and it was so good.
I had their Lobster Mac and Cheese -
Paul had their blackened steak salad - both were so yummy!
Then when we got back to our room - pillow gifts had arrived - a nice straw hat and beach towel - how fun!
Then after showers and a little rest - SU! hosted a welcome reception on the grounds, as the rest of the demonstrators who had only earned one or the other of the trips arrived today.
All outdoors with fun snacks - popcorn, churros, macadamia ice cream, mango sherbet, and tropical fruit just to mention a bit.  Perfect time to catch up with some old friends.

The weather was again perfect - upper 70's and a light, warm tropical breeze - what a lovely night!

Just another day in paradise - Night!
See you tomorrow ~Maureen
