Inked & Tiled Lost Lagoon Leaf Card

Supplies:

 ·       Stamp Set: Inked & Tiled Bundle (161168)

·       Card Stock and Paper:

Basic White (159276), Inked Botanicals

DSP (161157), Lost Lagoon (133679) ,

Pool Party (122924)

Lost Lagoon (133679),

·       Stamp Pads: Lost Lagoon (161678)

·       Miscellaneous: Lost Lagoon ¼” Bordered Ribbon (161171), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Stampin’ Seal Adhesive (152813), Tinsel Gems Three-Pack (161624)

 Measurements:

 ·       Lost Lagoon Cardstock: 5 ½” x 8 ½”; score

at 4 ¼” and fold to form card base.

·       Inked Botanicals DSP:  4” x 5 ¼”

·       Lost Lagoon Cardstock:  2 ¾” x 4 ¼”

·       Basic White Cardstock:  2 ½” x 4”

·       Pool Party Cardstock:  2” x 2” punched

with Inked & Tiled star punch

 Instructions:

 1.    Cut each piece listed in the measurements above.

2.    Fold Lost Lagoon cardstock in half to form card base.

3.    Adhere Inked Botanicals DSP layer to the card front.

4.    Stamp large leaf image onto Basic White cardstock using Lost Lagoon ink; adhere to the Lost Lagoon cardstock panel.

5.    Cut 4” of Lost Lagoon Ribbon and lay it over the stamped panel; adhere the ends to the back.  Slip a second piece of 4” Lost Lagoon Ribbon under the first and tie in a knot.  Attach panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 

6.    Stamp sentiment onto Pool Party cardstock using Lost Lagoon ink; punch out with Inked & Tiled star punch then adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals..

7.    Embellish card front with Lost Lagoon gems from the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack.

SF-2023 June Blog Hop - Lots of Layers!

 

Be sure to hop through all the blogs on the list near the bottom for great inspiration as we create some great projects lots of layers.

 This month (June 23) Stampin' Up! has so many of it's beautiful Designer Series Papers (DSP) on sale for 15 off - the papers are so gorgeous and one of my very favorites is "Masterfully Made".  Just so amazing - full of color and detail.

I apologize up front for the background on my pictures today - I was doing this in a different location, and didn't have a solid white to use - so just took them on a tablecloth.  

I just couldn't resist using Masterfully Made on my Lots of Layers card - I chose the design with the mountain scene and cut a strip 3 3/4" wide to make my card.  Then I cut it apart at logical increments to form several different layer elements I could use.

 
Next I took a card base of Lemon Lime Twist and layered on a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Pretty Peacock (choosing colors from the DSP); then I started adding the different layer elements to the card with dimensionals behind the top of each layer and some Seal near the bottom so that each top of each layer was popped up for dimension.

By doing this I was able to create a scene with the mountains in the back.  I wanted to add a sun, so I searched through my dies and found a circle in the in the Paper Florist dies that would work.

It also had a leaf that I decided to use as trees.  Cutting all the elements out of the same DSP package.

It all came together to make this beautiful mountain scene.

Here's a view from above so you can see some of the dimension and how it was put together.

And of course another layer with some elements on the inside of the card - 

All together I counted eight layers added to the card and five smaller elements - so I think this definitely fits the category and I love, love how it turned out.  The little Hello sentiment comes from Gorgeously made which coordinates with the DSP.

Simple Sketch #5 Challenge - June 2023

 

Join me for some new FUN! Each month this year I will be doing a new sketch challenge around the last week of the month.

A Monthly Sketch Challenge!

Here is the sketch! Use it as your inspiration - your card should contain all the layers, but you can take some liberty with them. Add any embellishments you wish.

You might recognize this from one of my videos earlier this year - here is the card I created -

Just use the sketch and have fun.  The rest is up to you - just try and have similar layers!  The coloring on the sketch, is just to show the layers - use any colors you wish!!

Post the card(s) you make in the comments of my Facebook Business page HERE, Find the pinned Sketch challenge post at the top of my page and be sure to post by 6/30/2023, so they can be entered in my drawing on 5/1/2023. All card pictures must be posted by midnight 6/30/2023. Each unique card pic is an entry - and I will give away a fun embellishment. Have fun with this - can't wait to see what you make!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop June 2023 - Birthdays!!

 

 Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop for June 2023 - featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. We have a wide array of projects and design styles to share with you this month - all about Birthdays!

So birthdays are all about the fun - right? So I made a nothing but fun card using the Beautiful Balloons bundle from the annual catalog.

This set is full of balloons and tassles and confetti and fringes - but my favorite part of the bundle is the STARS! I just think they are so fun.

This card is so simple and fast to create - and I just love the look of it. It's a Basic White base, a 4" x 5 1/4" layer of the Bright & Beautiful DSP (there are a ton of great patterns in the package to make this card.)

I took a layer of Basic White 3 3/4" x 5" and randomly die cut stars to give me the peek-a-boo windows. Then popped that up on top of the DSP. Using several Blends (Dark Bubble Bath, Light Misty Moonlight, Light Pretty Peacock, Light Lemon Lime Twist) I colored the punched out stars to match the colors of the DSP.

Then add them and the sentiment banner to the front of the card - it's so fun and super simple! One star left over was added to the inside of the card.

Norwegian Fjords SU Incentive Trip - Day 5

I just returned from our amazing incentive trip - a cruise through the Norwegian Fjords!!*  As I do every year - I will be posting a series of posts this week sharing my experience.  I do this as both a travel journal for myself - and to thank all of you who helped me earn this trip.  Enjoy!

Our first pictures of the morning as we came into Olden -

Paul and I were able to get off at this port, and made our way across to this area to do some souvenir shopping.  What a beautiful area - but certainly full of tourists - probably mainly from our ship.

After shopping we walked a bit - took a couple pictures of our ship as it is just massive - and looked even bigger in this small port - 

I really wanted to get some coffee in Norway - go figure - but the only coffee shop nearby was up about 22 stairs and that just didn't work for me - so back to the ship for some Cappuccino it was - but that was okay.  

After lunch we headed down to our meeting place and SU! had posted pictures of all of the swap.  Here are a few to inspire you - 

A couple more pictures - me with my new friend Ana Marie - we are in a couple collaborative groups together - so was great to meet in person.

and Dawn - my friend from our Greek Isles trip.

Leaving later in the day got a couple more pictures of the quaintness of this area.

Walked around the ship - had dinner - enjoyed some more music and relaxed.  Then took this great picture before bedtime.  The sea and sky were just beautiful.
