National Coffee Day Blog Hop 2024

 

Hi Everyone - welcome to our National Coffee Day 2024 - Blog Hop!  This is a hop that is near and dear to my heart - because any of you who know me know I have a coffee addiction.  So, let's celebrate that addiction together.  Be sure to scroll down through the entire post for information on how you can win a fun prize in my giveaway. 

So, I'm excited to share some fun "coffee" themed creations with you - my first uses Stampin' Up!'s super fun "More than Autumn" stamp/die bundle.

It has fast become a favorite - and I can't wait to continue to find more cute ways to use it.  For this card I chose to blend some Cajun Craze ink onto a layer of Crushed Curry cardstock, and scatter the spice and pumpkin words for a cute background.

Next I stamped the adorable to go cup in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored using our Stampin' Up! blends - 

Then put it all together with a Cajun Craze CS layer on a Basic White base; popped up the coffee cup; added some hearts and gems; and finished with a double bow of linen thread - a card after my own heart lol!

I also finished the inside of the card - making it ready to send out to some fabulous person in my life.

 

And if you know me - I disdain naked envelopes - so had to finish that off too - 

Made a second card but with the addition of the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and the Autumn Leaves dies.  Mixing this all up made this beautiful card.  NOTE: if you like those background leaves, be sure to check out my giveaway below.

This embossing folder is beautiful, and I embossed just a portion of the inside to tie it together.

The final touch was embossing the flap on the envelope - just love this look - hope you like it too!

Paper Pumpkin Possibilities - Autumn Abundance September 2024

Stampin' Up! hit another Home Run with this kit - they just keep getting better and better. 

I decided to do a little 3D treat box for my alternative using the base for the square card.

I scored around the edges in at 3/8th of an inch; and then on each side of the center fold - to make that 3/8th of an inch.  Then cut in on the tabs as shown - 

and creased the score lines with a bone folder - so I could fold into a box.

I then cut down the Cajun Craze Square to 3 3/8" square and stamped a couple of the sprigs on it - 

It was attached inside the lid with a dimensional on the front in each corner, so that it sat down a bit from the top.  This allowed me to tuck the little snail and mushroom in there with dimensionals - then added leaves, sentiment, gems and slipped on a band of twine to help it stay closed.

Inside is room for some fun little treats -

And when the treats are gone - there is a leafy surprise!

Simple Sketch #18 Challenge - September 2024

 

Join me for some FUN! Each month (almost) I will be doing a new sketch challenge around the last week to 10 days of the month.

A Monthly Sketch Challenge!

Here is the sketch! Use it as your inspiration - your card should contain all the layers, but you can take some liberty with them. Add any embellishments you wish.

You might recognize this from my FB Live Video 9/24/2024 - here is the card I created -

 Just use the sketch and have fun.  The rest is up to you - just try and have similar layers!  Feel free to even change the size of the card or the orientation.  The coloring on the sketch, is just to show the layers - use any colors you wish!!  Here's the sketch with the measurements I used -

Share it Sunday! Free tutorial - Playful Ghosts

·       Card Stock and Paper: Basic White (159276)

Basic Black (121045). Petunia Pop (163801), (2024-2026 In Color DSP (163777), 2024-2026 Glimmer Paper (163771)

·       Stamp Pads: Tuxedo Black (132708), Versamark (102283)

·       Tools: In the Spotlight dies (163580),

·       Miscellaneous: Black/Very Vanilla Check Ribbon (161982), Baker’s Twine Essentials (155475)

·       Stampin’ Blends: Petunia Pop (163828), Shy Shamrock (163825), Peach Pie (163827) Smoky Slate (154904), Bubble Bath (161675), Basic Black (154843)

 Measurements:

 ·       Basic Black: 4 ¼” x 11”

·       Basic White: 2 ¼” x 3”

·       Petunia Pop: 3 ¼” x 3 ¼”

·       Petunia Pop DSP: 4” x 5 ¼”

·       Peach Pie Glimmer: ½” x 4”

·       Black/Vanilla Ribbon: 6”

·       White Baker’s Twine: 8”

 Instructions:

 1.     Cut a 4 ¼” x 11” Basic Black card base. Fold in half.

2.     Cut a 4” x 5 ¼” Petunia Pop striped designer paper and adhere to the card front.

3.     Cut a ½” x 4” Peach Pie strip and adhere to the card front.

4.     Cut a 2 ¾” Petunia Pop circle.

5.     Stamp the BOO and BAT over the circle using Versamark ink.

6.     Adhere the circle to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

7.     Stamp the ghost image onto the Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink.

8.     Color the image using Petunia Pop, Shy Shamrock, Peach Pie, Smoky Slate, Basic Black and Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends. Cut.

9.     Adhere the ghost to the circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

10. Color a 6” piece of Black/Vanilla ribbon using Petunia Pop Stampin’ Blends.

11. Add stripes to an 8” piece of white Baker’s Twine using the Peach Pie Stampin’ Blends.

12. Fold the checked ribbon in half. Tie the Baker’s Twine around the top of the fold in a bow and adhere to the card front using glue dots.

13. Stamp BOO below the circle using Tuxedo Black ink.
