Sharing the final Shoebox Swap Cards that I made. For some reason the one I made of Virginia's is LOST :( Don't know how that happened - I'll keep looking and hope to find soon - and when I do, I will post it! But for today - we have Heidi's card which I LOVED - so simple, yet so great for birthdays - and the colors are fantastic!
Then Karen's card - she cased a card right off the front cover of the current occasions catalog - adding a few changes. But it is also such a fun, happy birthday card -
Finally my card - which is also basically a CASE. But using almost the same color combo as Karen's above. With me sending cards nearly every day - each of these will be great to use for upcoming birthdays. Do you want a card from me? Email me your date of birth and address and you've got it!
Hope you enjoyed the cards. Shoebox swaps can be some much fun and you come home with a bunch of cute cards. Love it! See you all soon! ~Maureen

Personal Post Monday!
When we were in California recently I had time to sneak in a Gramma Day with our precious Miss Makai. Papa wanted to tag along, and Makai wanted him along - so it became a Gramma/Papa day! We took her to Paint a Dream to do some painting -
Here she is having fun painting her creation -she always has a ready smile -
Sometimes it takes awhile to get all the "creativity" done, so Papa decided to get a little catnap while waiting.
All done painting - now it will be glazed and fired - and she can pick it up in about a week.
Here's a picture of the three of us - so wonderful being a Gramma!
Then it was off to dinner with her at Red Robin restaurant - she had chicken strips and fries -
And a yummy rootbeer float!! Just look at that happy face -

Had such a wonderful time - on the way home we stopped and picked up a half gallon of Cookies and Cream Ice cream to share with the rest of her family. So glad we were able to get this time in with her. Love you baby girl! ~Maureen

Sunday Morning Musings - Shoebox Swapping with my TEAM!
So much going on in my life - but I LOVE getting some time to just sit and have some fresh coffee out of a beautiful mug - and relax with stamping and creating. I get such peace and enjoyment from this hobby and business of mine. Thank God everyday for this blessing.
So we ended our last Team meeting as we always do - with a Shoebox Swap - and it was fun, as always! Here are Annette and Paula checking out some card samples.
Below is Annette's card for the Shoebox Swap -note the wink of Stella glimmer on the fern -
Here is Paula's Card -Cannot believe this stamp set is being retired - if you love BUGS, then be sure to order this one before it is gone for good!

And the final card I'm sharing today is Teri's swap card - this was her first swap with our group - and she incorporated another hobby of hers (photography) into her creation. Sorry for a bit of glare on the photo.
Great cards ladies - had so much fun creating with you. I have a few more to share soon from this event! Our next TEAM meeting is in July, and then I'm looking at a special TEAM event for this fall and hoping it all falls into place. See you soon! ~Maureen

TIPsy Tuesday #1
NEW FEATURE ALERT - Customers (and Downline) are always asking for practical tips for their stamping - so on a regular basis I plan to off TIPs on Tuesdays and then will also store links to the posts in a special document you can find at the top of my blog labeled TIPsy Tuesday!
So - here is Tip #1 - Mass producing layers. I've found when I am putting together a bunch of one type of card, that it works best to complete all the components as much as possible, and then set them up in assembly line format and put them together. This week I am working on a bunch of cards for my downline to celebrate them - and I needed a bunch of sayings punched and ready to go.
Step 1) I cut a strip of cardstock the width I would need to stamp and punch; then stamped my verses (make sure to leave enough spacing to punch them out).
Step 2) Punch each of the items out.
Step 3) Add the dimensionals to the back of each punched circle, leaving the one layer of covering on them so they don't accidentally stick to something.
Step 4) Remove the backing from the adhesive and add to your project. Stop back later this week to see what I did with these!
Please let me know if there are specific things you'd like to see tips on - and stop back next Tuesday for another TIP! ~Maureen

Sunday Morning Musings! April 17, 2016
My how times flies - I cannot believe it's been over a week since I blogged. I promise I will try to do better. My goal is always every other day - and sometimes I'm great and blog every day - and others - well this past week was an example of that. In my defense the last week or so was filled with -
*a trip to Cambria CA for some much needed R&R to celebrate Hubbies birthday
*a trip to Southern CA to see family and hold my TEAM meeting for my downline
*a special Gramma/Papa day with our sweet grand-daughter, Makai
*a lot of family time and energy spent trying to decide what is best for my 95 year old Mother-in-laws living situation
*new concrete work going in at our home - extending driveway, adding a backyard patio
*cortisone shots in my knee to relieve some pain of a recent knee twist
and much, much more - so busy was the word! Below is a picture of two of my sweet team members, Karen and Virginia at our Shoebox swap!
Karen brought a bunch of beautiful card samples to share with the group - and I thought I would share some of them with all of you also - for some creative inspiration. Thanks Karen - love them!! Stop back soon to see the cards we created at the Shoebox swap.
See you soon!!! Promise :) ~Maureen

Tea-riffic!
I love this little tea pot - awhile back I shared this card that I made for the coffee (and tea) lovers blog hop.
I wanted to reproduce it for a cards class - but struggled with getting the little thin wavy line die cuts to stick without having glue show - even using the fine point glue. Some of my ladies are brand new - and I wanted them to have success. So I changed it up a bit - took the wavy lines off and added these three little flowers. And you know what - I like it even better.
I really love this card - and hope everyone I send it to will like it also. ~Maureen

March Christmas Card 2
So here's the second design we had for Christmas Cards in March. This card uses the Wondrous Wreath set from our Annual catalog, as well as the Wonderful Wreath framelits. And the window is made with the Hearth and Home thinlits dies from the Occasions catalog. It just shouts out the warmth of Christmas to me with that glowing yellow window.
Framelits make it so easy to die cut the images and the card comes together in a snap. Here's the window portion of the card as I was working on a layout.
For a bit of added glitz we heat embossed the berries in gold on the card, popped up the wreath on dimensionals and added the little candy do to the bow. Hope you like it!! ~Maureen
