Twinkle Twinkle - Babies are the best!!

This is the second card we made at my March's Cards and Coffee and I just love it!  Isn't that sweet baby sleeping on the moon the best!  Especially love those little glimmer stars lighting up the sky! (Unfortunately that color of glimmer paper is no longer available - but you can color the silver with re-inkers and aqua painter - just check out YouTube for instructions!)
We had a lot of fun water coloring with SU's new watercolor pencils and blender pens.  Make's it just so easy.  Everyone can be a watercoloring pro!
Below is the inside of the cards with the rest of that darling little saying and few little stars -
and here are a few I did after class - you can see the water coloring is a bit different on each - adding to their uniqueness.  Plus, I messed up on one, so had to cut around the star and have it hang over the blue layer - but I still love it.

Maybe I love these so much because I am expecting grandchild #8 the end of June and it's gonna be a boy!  Can't wait to meet that new little guy!!  See you soon.  ~Maureen

March Cards and Coffee - Card 1

Today I'm sharing the first of the two cards we made at my March Cards and Coffee class.  We stamped and colored with makers.  Then added the sentiment we wanted.
I had a variety of markers available in this color scheme, and let the ladies do as they wanted with them.
We also had Wink of Stella to add some sparkle and event splatter on - as you can see here.
Those may look like blotches in the picture - but in real life - they sparkle beautifully!
Fun card that is suitable for so many different occasions - and the ladies got to use their creativity.  Watch for next month's Cards and Coffee event in my upcoming events at the top of this page - and plan to join us!  ~Maureen

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Spring 2017

http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2953
Woo Hoo - I love all of the Coffee Lovers Hops - because it gives me a chance to feature COFFEE cards on my blog.  This one was especially fun.  I got together with a group of friends to play with our stamping, and my friend Lori re-introduced me to the napkin technique. I've got to tell you - it's probably been 20+ years since I've done this - but now I am again hooked.

Above are some of the napkins we played with, and below is a section after I've adhered it to cardstock.  We found out of most napkins you can get four panels.
So I cut down one of the quarters and layered it on cardstock to get the base for this card.  Then I cut apart another quarter - by cutting each of the cups out.  I adhered them layering from the top down, then added some pretty pearls to finish it off.
The inside used up the small top piece of cup I did not need for the front.  (oops - I added steam to the cup, but took this picture before.  Will try and update if I get a chance tomorrow.)
Here's a side view - hard to tell - but the top cup is just the first image, the one below it is cut out and layered flat, the one below that layered with one dimensional layer, and the final bottom cup layered with two dimensional layers.
This gives dimensions to the cups and the illusion of cups actually stacked inside of each other.
I hope you like it - be sure to check out all the other amazing cards on this hop by going HERE.  Leave a comment if you have a minute.  I'll be drawing from all comments for a cardstock giveaway!!  ~Maureen

Easter Card Follow up

So during the Stampin Friend Blog Hop - I shared my Easter card - you can see it as the last image in this post.  But I need several to send out, and as much as I love stamping and creating - I am not good at doing tons of the same thing.  I just need to change it up a little.  So today I am sharing two more samples - with basically all the same materials - but just a slightly different look.
Sample 1 - with two butterflies punched - pearls and gems.
Sample 2 - with one large butterfly die-cut and gems.
Original (sorry so washed out - you can see it better HERE) with a smaller butterfly die-cut and gems.
I think they are actually all very pretty - springy - Eastery :)  Sometimes it's fun to just switch it up a bit.  Stop back soon for some more creative ideas! ~Maureen

SF March Hop - EASTER

Welcome to the Stampin Friends Easter Blog Hop!  This month we have 2 amazing guest hoppers that you should DEFINITELY check out - Mandy Reedyk and Sue Vine.  I had so much fun creating these projects for this month's hop.  I love Spring and it has it has Sprung for sure here in Prescott - just look at these beautiful blossoms on my Ornamental plum tree.
So I was inspired by the gorgeous pink and here's what I came up with.  The first picture is a bit washed out - but I wanted to show the two projects side by side.
But this photo shows the coloring more accurately.  I used two of the projects that you can get free till March 31 during Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration.  Products are listed at the end.  They came together beautifully.  I started by sponging color randomly over the Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper - then punched out a partial circle and layered it on Bermuda Bay cardstock and the white base.  Finally I cut out the butterfly from our SAB Glimmer paper on the Big Shot and adhered with a glue dot and added a few gems.

The little treat bag was sponged the same way and the butterfly adhered the same way.  After I added a few little treats to it, I closed it with a mini paperclip and a bit of glimmery ribbon.  I used the pattern information from Lynn Ellis on her blog HERE.

I'm just so happy with how they turned out.  We'll be making this card at my Wine and Design class tonight- and I hope the ladies like it too.  If you want to know how you can get the Inside the Lines DSP or the Pastel Glimmer Paper FREE - be sure to contact me and I'll get you all the information - but remember - this opportunity ends 3/31/17.  Now be sure to continue on the hop by clicking the names below! You’re at Maureen Rauchfuss’ post to help orient yourself.  ~Maureen
