Today I want to share my St Patty's Card. I am Irish - you all know it - maiden name was O'Reilly :) So disappointed that SU just does not have much out there for St. Patrick's day. So I made my own. I took our small heart punch and punched little hearts out of three different green DSP patterns. Each heart was folded in half and the crease was dipped in Tombow and then attached to the card so the leaves pop up a bit. Put three of them together and you have a Shamrock.
The stems were used by using the cardboard circle from one of our spools of ribbon with Wild Wasabi. We attached one of our tiny brads to the center of each Shamrock. Added a little linen thread - and a sentiment -and what a great card.
I love the look of the delicate clovers - hope you do too! ~Maureen

Stained Glass Vellum card
Today I want to show you the steps and the final product of the Spring Card we made using the Stained Glass Vellum technique. The very first step was to heat emboss the flowers on vellum cardstock using white embossing powder. Then we flipped the vellum over and sponged on color on the back using daubers. We didn't have to be careful with the coloring here, as we're going to cut out the flowers.
Here is the vellum flipped back over and you can see the beautiful color coming through.
The we carefully cut out each flower and the stem of leaves. Aren't they pretty. So soft looking - perfect for a bridal shower or wedding card.
So here is the final result - we dry embossed the white later with the dots, Punched a great tag out using our new tag topper punch, added some ribbon, dimensionals and pearls.
That's it! Beautiful- I really like the look of this technique and I love how the card turned out.
See you all soon. ~Maureen

Stained Glass Vellum Technique
Each month I share the technique we learn in club - and this month was Stained Glass Vellum Technique. The 6x6" technique card below is what we made to put in our binders. You can see the flowers are embossed in black, then flipped over and colored with markers from the back.
This technique can be done very simply like this or elaborate by using several colors on the back and blending. It is a beautiful technique and if you stop back you'll see the wonderful Spring card we made using this technique. ~Maureen

SAB Stamp Camp Card
So today I wanted to share a card I made with the Petal Parade SAB stamp set. This set is just one of the items you can get FREE during SAB with a $50 order. I've got to admit - this set did not appeal to me at all. At first I thought I would not even get it - but I am so glad I changed my mind and did.
Just look at this great card! I got my inspiration from a card I saw on Splitcoast or Pinterest - it was very similar - and I thought what a great card. So I changed it up a bit, put my spin on it, and I LOVE it!!
Added a few flowers to the inside of the card at the bottom and a few more on the envelope. Such a fun set - and you could change it up with many different color combos. Hope you liked it! ~Maureen

Student worker Valentine's
Just wanted to share the cute little treats I gave to my student workers for Valentine's day! You might have seen my previous post of tootsie pop holders here - http://www.crazystampinglady.blogspot.com/2014/01/tootsie-pop-valentine.html so I changed it up a little bit and made these -
Instead of using Tootsie pops I found the round strawberry and cream suckers at a local store and thought they'd be just perfect. Here's a side view so you can see the sucker.
Lots of fun to make - and the gals loved them!! ~Maureen

Valentine's for the Grandkids!
Today I wanted to share the FUN valentine's I made for my grandbabies. I found these adorable Bubble Pens a few weeks ago at a Party store and loved them. Many of you know BUBBLES are one of my favorite things - I have them at work and in nearly every room of my house. I blow bubbles whenever I'm stressed -and watch my stress just blow away!! Blowing bubbles is also something I do so often with the grandbabies - so just could not resist these.
With a little Stampin'Up! MDS (My Digital Studio) magic I created the base card in the colors of the pens. Then used a little ribbon left over from Easter decorating last year (sorry - not SU -which is rare for me).
And Voila!! a bunch of Valentines for some special sweeties all ready to be delivered with some candy treats!! ~Love you all, Gramma

Gramma Day with Zavian
Recently I had a fun Gramma day with my sweet little Zavian. We did some fun shopping and he picked out a new SHARK lego kit. Just look at that sweet face. We were lucky that Papa had a day off work -so they got to work on the legos together.
Then the three of us went for a yummy lunch at Red Robin. It was so much fun just spending time with two of my specialest guys.
Wish I could just bottle up all these hugs for when I'm having a down day - nothin' better! Thanks for a wonderful day baby boy! ~Gramma
