 It's Sunday - and time to share another great card and free tutorial!  Today's card features the Flower Cart bundle from the Spring mini - and I love it - so fun and fresh for spring.  I  hope you like it as much as I do!

Supplies:

·       Stamp Sets: Flower Cart (162776)

·       Cardstock and Paper: Basic White (159276); Mossy Meadow (133676); Petal Pink (146985)

·       Stamp Pads: Crumb Cake (147116); Early Espresso (147114); Mossy Meadow (147111); Petal Pink (147108)

·       Tools: Flower Cart Dies (162780); Basics Borders Dies (155558); Everyday Details Dies (162864); 2” Circle Punch (133782); Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653); Paper Trimmer (152392);

·       Miscellaneous: Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Stampin’ Seal Adhesive (152813); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755); Linen Thread (104199); Blooming Pearls (162238)

 Measurements:

·       Mossy Meadow: 4 1/4” x 11”, scored at 5 1/2”, 3” x 3”

·       Basic White: 4 14” x 3 1/4”, 4” x 5 1/4” (for inside)

·       Petal Pink: Two strips 4 1/4” x 1”

Instructions:

 1.    Stamp the flower cart with Crumb Cake Ink, and the wheels with Early Espresso Ink.  Stamp the flowers (this is a two-part stamp) with Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink inks.  Die cut all the stamped images.

2.    Stamp the sentiment with Mossy Meadow Ink, and die cut with the second to smallest circle from the Everyday Details Dies. Punch out a Petal Pink circle with the 2” Circle Punch and adhere behind the sentiment.

3.    Die cut two borders from the Petal Pink strips and adhere to the back of the Basic White Cardstock. 

4.    Wrap the Linen Thread three times around the Basic White panel and attach it to the card base.

5.    Adhere the wheels and the front leg to the flower cart with a small amount of liquid glue.  Attach the flowers and adhere the whole cart to the card front with Dimensionals.

6.    Attach the sentiment with Dimensionals and embellish with Blooming Pearls.

·       Stamp Pads: Early Espresso (147114); Fresh Freesia (155611); Night of Navy (147110)

 Measurements:

·       Night of Navy Cardstock: 4¼” x 7½”; 4¼” x 1¾” (two pieces)

·       Basic White Cardstock: 4” x 5¼”; 4” x 1½”

·       Delightfully Eclectic DSP: 4” x 1¾”; 4” x 1½”

·       Ribbon: Approx 3”

 Instructions:

1.    Adhere Basic White inside card.

2.    Adhere Delightfully Eclectic DSP strips to Night of Navy card base and card pieces.

3.    Place DSP/Navy piece on bottom, lining it up with the bottom of the back of the card. Once there, adhere remaining Night of Navy cardstock piece so that it forms a bridge between the two pieces (additional image below).

4.    Stamp sentiment using Night of Navy ink.

5.    Stamp floral image on Basic White cardstock using Early Espresso ink. Stamp flowers using Fresh Freesia ink. Adhere to card front.

6.    Tie a knot in the Night of Navy Bordered Ribbon. Adhere to card front using a Mini Glue Dot.

7.    Sprinkle Dragonflies and Birds embellishments to card front using Take Your Pick Tool.

8.    Use a little Wink of Stella on the flowers for some additional sparkle!

Simple Sketch #12 Challenge - March 2024

 

Join me for some FUN! Each month (almost) I will be doing a new sketch challenge around the last week of the month.

A Monthly Sketch Challenge!

Here is the sketch! Use it as your inspiration - your card should contain all the layers, but you can take some liberty with them. Add any embellishments you wish.

You might recognize this from my FB Live video 3/22/2024 - here is the card I created -

 Just use the sketch and have fun.  The rest is up to you - just try and have similar layers!  Feel free to even change the size of the card or the orientation.  The coloring on the sketch, is just to show the layers - use any colors you wish!!  Here's the sketch with the measurements I used - 

My measurements -

Base 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” on long side

Layer 1 – 4 x 5 ¼”; Layer 2  – 1 ½ x 4 ½”; Layer 3 – 2 ¼ x 3 ½”; Layer 4 – 1 ¼ x 3”;

Sentiment ¾ x 2 ¼”; Circle 2”

SF-2024 March Blog Hop - Monochromatic March!

I LOVE Monochromatic cards - so I wa so excited to see this as our category for the month of March.  I decided to use a set I just received, because I love it so much - and it works perfect for the wedding card I need.

How beautiful is that set - and it has amazing dies that coordinate, but I didn't use those today.  So here is my card - all monochromatic in hues of Moody Mauve.  I sponged some Moody Mauve ink behind the area where the flowers will be put to give a bit of shadowing there.

It uses the Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper both for the striped layer; and that beautiful flower.  Plus a piece of Moody Mauve 3/8" Textured Ribbon.  Just look at this DSP.

This paper is so beautiful - so I took the rose cluster, and using one of my Moody Mauve blends, I colored two of the roses to get some color contrast, and then fussy cut it to add to the card.  The gold just makes it look so elegant; and then for my bling I again used my blend to color some of our Rhinestone gems to keep the monchromatic theme.  You can see the difference here - 

Just love this card.
