Announcing Creative Collage

Your monthly creative opportunity in a box!

That's right...finally...it's here!!  We've been working on this frantically - and it's ready for it's debut - Creative Collage kits in the mail.  For each month's Creative Collage kit, you will get a box delivered to you with tons of supplies just waiting for you to create with! Each month’s kit will include a stamp set (clear or photoplymer) selected by the Creative Collage team, as well as Designer Series Paper, coordinating cardstock, card bases and envelopes and a selection of accessories, ribbons, cords and twines! All you have to do is open it and provide your own creativity, adhesive and ink (and maybe a few basic tools)!

Your Creative Collage team will provide 3 blog hops - the 1st, 7th and 14th of each month.  Each blog hop will show you 3 great projects made with products in your kit.  The first two hops will be projects made with only the kit contents plus adhesives and ink. The next hop we will each show you a "step it up" or "out of the box" project - created with the kit but adding a few additional items, elements or techniques.  FULL DETAILS CAN BE FOUND - HERE!

Our first kit features -
the stamp set "Tee Hee Hee" from the SU Holiday catalog, plus all the other products shown below - what an amazing kit this will be to get you ready for all those little ghosts and goblins, not to mention the little witches in your life.

Two notecards white with envelopes
Two 3x3" Sahara Sand and Bermuda Bay gift card bases with white envelopes
By email: PDF of six BONUS projects.

Here's my first project using just the elements in this kit (plus ink and adhesives).  I love the way the little bats are flying out of the caldron - who knows what is bubbling in there?!?
Used - Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black pad; Adhesives: Snail and Dimensionals; D block
This view from the bottom of the card shows how one bat is cut out and raised on a dimensional, as are the caldron and the layers of the sentiment.  The white "thread" in the button is actually a very thin strip of white cardstock.  I also rippled one end of the Designer Series Paper to give it more dimension - hope you like it!
But don't stop now - our Creative Collage team has more samples of projects made from this kit to share with you.  And that's not all - stop back September 7th and 14th for even more great samples.  Subscribers will get 6 additional, exclusive projects by PDF.

August Christmas Card 1

Love the new Holiday Mini Catalog - LOVE IT!!  Here is the first card we made from the Holiday Mini Catalog that went live yesterday!  How great is that?!?
We used the new Lucky Stars embossing folder for the base - then stamped the large star in Island Indigo ink from the new set Bright & Beautiful (did I mention that the set coordinates perfectly with the Star framelits from our regular catalog - so you can cut them out perfectly with the Big Shot.)*
The we added the banner layer, some twine and a cute little punched star from our Champagne glimmer paper - it was the perfect little sparkle to make this card oh so elegant.
It's such a pretty card - hope you enjoyed.  *Oh - by the way - you can get a free stamp set/framelit bundle if you order the Big Shot by August 31st. In fact you can get this set and the framelits FREE.  Check out this and other special offers - HERE!   What's that you say - you don't have a Holiday Mini Catalog -  email me at crazystampinglady@gmail.com and one is on your way.  In the meantime you can check it out by clicking on the catalog icon on my sidebar.  See you soon!! ~Maureen

Nautical Totes

So here is the 3D project we made at Club - it is an adorable little nautical tote.  I followed the tutorial here at Splitcoast Stampers - http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/boxinabag/ but adapted it a bit. My base was 5 1/4 x 3 1/4" and then scored 3/4" in all the way around (Steps 1 - 6).
My Designer Series Paper was 4"x12" (Steps 7-13).  Then I stopped following the tutorial.  Added a little handle, and punched a scallop to fold over the top and close with an antique brad.
I think it turned out so cute.
Here you can see the bottom box portion we started with then wrapped.
Would be perfect to wrap a little gift card in tissue - tuck in the back and give with this cute little card we made - how fun!!
See you soon. ~Maureen

Sea Street meets Shaving Cream

So today I wanted to share with you the FUN card we made using the Shaving Cream Technique at my Club this month.  When the new catalog came out I fell in LOVE with this little octopus.  I have no idea why.  I normally do not go for the cutesy sets - but he just seemed to be calling out, "pick me, pick me" - so I did.  He's part of the Sea Street Set.
So we made a shaving cream layer using tones of blue to simulate the swirling sea waters.  Added all the little fish swimming around every which way as the water is churning.  And popped up the little crab as an accent (I kinda love him too :)
Then we added two sizes of gems for the bubbles going up to the top of the water.

And finally - a little double knot - just to complete the nautical theme.
Stop by soon to see the little gift tote we made to match this card!!  ~Maureen

August Paper Pumpkin Cards

Look at these cards - aren't they FUN!!  This is the August Paper Pumpkin kit (well a small portion of it - there is so much more in the kit).  I did adapt a bit (not my own idea - someone mentioned it on facebook) - I cut the striped card bases in half and that gave me enough layers to make 8 card on a white base.  Also when I cut them down to be a layer it left that tiny strip that I used as an accent under the sentiment.
They words are already cut out - so all I did was stamp the confetti dots and sentiments (all in the stamp set that is included) added the banner and the sequins (also included).
Since I was giving these cards as a gift and I think she will probably mail the cards, I stamped regular envelopes to match so they will go through the postal machines.
But the kit actually comes with these adorable colored envelopes that close with a twine tie.  I'll be sure to find something fun to use them for in the future.
Hope to finish the rest of the kit soon and I'll be sure to share.  But don't forget this sneak peek of the September kit -
You'll get to make six of these adorable Halloween treat bags.  If you sign up by September 10th - you 'll get your first two months at half price!!  Go to mypaperpumpkin.com sign-up and be sure to choose me as your demonstrator - then sit back and wait for the FUN to arrive in your mailbox.  ~Maureen

Technique Club - Shaving Cream

This month we did the Shaving Cream technique at club.  It is one of my favorite techniques (albeit a little messy) because each time  you do it, and scrape off the shaving cream it is such a surprise what you'll get.  This one was my second try - and I loved it.  Reminded me of a sky at sunset with wispy clouds.  The birds are nesting for the night.
Here's a close up so you can see the detail - really beautiful.
And here are two more examples that are two of my club members samples - see how different each one is.
It was really a fun technique - can't wait to make some pretty cards with this technique.  ~Maureen

Note crates

Over the past couple months I've been sharing the little note crates I've been making for my Hostesses this year.  I think they are adorable - and from the response I've gotten - so do you.  In fact I got an order to make some - how cool is that.  Here are three of them I recently made for a few people who I work with who will be leaving soon.  These all use discontinued DSP -

Here is how I wrap them for gift giving -
Finally here they are the three for my coworkers - plus one I made for my Club Hostess Sarah.
This weekend my plan is to make one for ME!!  See you soon.  ~Maureen
