It's Sunday - and time to share another great card and free tutorial!  Have you seen the new amazing In-color Glimmer paper?  Today's tutorial combines it with the Flowers of Beauty set to give us this amazing card.  I hope you like it as much as I do!

Flowers of Beauty In Color Glimmer Card

Supplies:

 ·       Stamp Set: Flowers of Beauty (163376)

·       Card Stock and Paper:

Basic White (159276), Petunia Pop (163801), Pretty in Pink (163793), 2024-2026 In Color Glimmer (163771)

·       Stamp Pads:  Petunia Pop (163811), Pretty In Pink (163807), Shy Shamrock (163808), Summer Splash (163809)

·       Tools:  Bone Folder (102300); Paper Snips (103579), Paper Trimmer (152392), Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653)

·       Miscellaneous: 2024-2026 In Color Resin Dots (163389), Silver & White ½” Sheer Ribbon (162149), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Stampin’ Seal Adhesive (152813)

Measurements:

·       Pretty In Pink Cardstock:  5 ½” x 8 ½”; score at 4 ¼” and fold to form card base.

·       Petunia Pop Cardstock:  3 ¾” x 5”

·       Basic White Cardstock 3 ½” x 4 ¾”, 3” x 3” for die cut flower & leaves, and 4” x 5 ¼” (for inside)

·       20204-2026 In Color Glimmer:  ¾” x 3 ¾” – 1 each of all 5 In Colors

·       Silver & White Sheer Ribbon:  approximately 11”

 Instructions:

1.    Cut each piece listed in the measurements above.

2.    Fold Pretty In Pink Cardstock in half to form card base.

3.    Adhere Petunia Pop Cardstock panel to the card front.

4.    Adhere Basic White Cardstock panel to the card front.

5.    Adhere each piece of 2024-2026 In Color Glimmer paper to the card front.

6.    Stamp sentiment onto the card front below the Glimmer paper using Petunia Pop ink.

7.    Stamp flower outline image onto Basic White Cardstock using Petunia Pop ink.  Stamp solid flower image overtop of the stamped flower outline using Pretty In Pink ink.

8.    Stamp leaves outline image onto the same piece of Basic White Cardstock using Shy Shamrock ink.  Stamp bold leaves image overtop of the leaves outline using Summer Splash ink.

9.    Die cut flower and leaves using Flowers of Beauty Dies.

10. Place a bit of Stampin’ Seal on the card front where you would like the ribbon to go.  Weave Ribbon back and forth over the adhesive and press into place.

11. Adhere die cut flower and leaves to the card front over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.   

12. Embellish card front with 20204-2026 In Color Resin Dots.

13. Adhere Basic White cardstock layer to the inside of the card.

Simple Sketch #14 Challenge - May 2024

 

Join me for some FUN! Each month (almost) I will be doing a new sketch challenge around the last week of the month.

A Monthly Sketch Challenge!

Here is the sketch! Use it as your inspiration - your card should contain all the layers, but you can take some liberty with them. Add any embellishments you wish.

You might recognize this from my FB Live video 5/24/2024 - here is the card I created -

 Just use the sketch and have fun.  The rest is up to you - just try and have similar layers!  Feel free to even change the size of the card or the orientation.  The coloring on the sketch, is just to show the layers - use any colors you wish!!  Here's the sketch with the measurements I used - 

Post the card(s) you make in the comments of my Facebook Business page HERE, find the pinned Sketch challenge post at the top of my page and be sure to post by 5/31/2024, so they can be entered in my drawing on 6/1/2024. SF-2024 May Blog Hop - Celebrating Men

I love that we do one blog hop a year that is all about the men in our lives.   I grew up with seven brothers and in my hubbies family it is just him and one brother, plus I have tons of nephews and four grandsons - so there are a lot of men in my life.  But masculine cards are always hard for me.  So let's have some fun - celebrating those men in our lives. For my card I pulled out a couple great sets -

Such a great set with simple sentiments - and really different than other sets we have.  I used the Watercolor World set -

#160708 Watercolor World $23.00*

First stamping it with Wild Wheat - then adding color by daubing with Copper Clay and Pebbled Path.  This is the masculine card I created.

It really came together with the new Basic Beige cardstock and ribbon.  Simple irich colors - no bling - all about the guys!  What do you think?

Share it Sunday! Free tutorial - Bright Skies

 

It's Sunday - and time to share another great card and free tutorial!  If you had a chance to watch my FB Live on Tuesday (facebook.com/crazystampinglady) I shared a fun bright card made with the Bright Skies stamp and dies.  Today's tutorial is another fun card made with the same - so bright and cheery.  I hope you like it as much as I do!

 Measurements:

 ·       Basic White: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored at 4 1/4” for horizontal base; scraps for die cutting clouds/sun

·       Peach Pie: 5” x 3 ¾”; scraps for tulips

·       Smoky Slate: scraps for clouds

·       Old Olive: scraps for flower stems

·       Petunia Pop: scraps for flowers

·       Shy Shamrock: 1 ¼” x 5” for die cutting grass

·       Unbounded Beauty DSP: 4 ¾” x 3 ½”

 Instructions:

 1.    Adhere your large Peach Pie rectangle to the base centered and adhere your layer of DSP centered on that.  Using Summer Splash ink stamp the rain drops coming down.

2.    Stamp the sun image with Peach Pie on Basic White and die cut.  Additional die cutting: 1 medium and 1 large cloud from Basic White; 2 small clouds from Smoky Slate; 3 tulips from Peach Pie; 2 flowers from Petunia Pop; 5 flower stems from Old Olive and Grass strip from Shy Shamrock.

3.    Stamp your sentiment on the largest Basic White cloud to the left using Petunia Pop ink; then cut off the excess of the cloud on the right as shown in picture.

4.    Adhere your die cuts to the card as shown; popping up one Smoky Slate cloud and the larger Basic White cloud with the sentiment on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

5.    Add your Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the sun and rain as shown in picture.
