If you've come from Jean's post - her projects are awesome! So, if not, be sure you swing back to see what she did.
This month is all about giving thanks, but I came at it from a different angle. This time of year is my absolute favorite - so I am showcasing it - because it is really one of the things I am most thankful for. So my card reflects my feelings - "it's the best time of the year."
This card uses the Inspiring Canopy dies from the annual catalog; as well as the amazing Beauty of the Earth DSP and this awesome sentiment is from a Christmas set in the Fall catalog - Peaceful Deer - but it says it all.
Once the days get shorter, the nights cooler and the trees turn color - I am nothing but grateful!
This card is also a non-traditional size - cut to fit in a standard mailing envelope that is 3 5/8" x 6 1/2". I started with a base of Mossy Meadow that was 6 1/4" x 7" and scored at 3 1/2" to make a horizontal card. The layer is Crushed Curry and Trees are Soft Suede. Then I added numerous pieces of the DSP cut using the dies and added with glue dots and mini dimensionals. Hopefully you can see some of that dimension in this this top view of the card.
Isn't it lovely!?!My 3D project was a matching shadow box for my wall -
