It is a Birthday Celebrations kind of month!
 ~*~*~*~*~

This month we're celebrating birthdays and it was a perfect theme for me.  I have a crafty friend who just moved here from out of state and her birthday is next week.  So I decided to go with a card and a fun little gift for her craft table in honor of her move to Arizona; and the new Flowering Cactus Medley of products was perfect.

I made her an adorable Z-fold birthday card - and then this cute little decorated clothespin.  These are perfect for holding a photo to display, use in the kitchen to hold recipes as you're cooking, but I have one on my craft desk to hold my cards as I'm crafting.  Here are some of the products I used in my creations -

Here is the card closed - I just love all of the cute items in this medley - but especially those adorable little felt flowers.  I've found that Tombow liquid glue words the best for adding them to your projects.

And here it is open - I added a strip of the Designer Series paper to the inside to pull it all together.  I don't know if you can read the sentiment, but it says "Hope your birthday is filled with beautiful things"

I decorated the large clothespin with some pretty coordinating ribbons, another piece of the DSP and then, of course the cactus.  Getting the two tone on the cactus by stamping into Pear Pizzazz ink - then sponging some Mossy Meadow ink onto the stamp before stamping onto the cardstock.

The sentiment I used here was from the new "Handmade for you" stamp set - how cute is that!  I realized after posting the pictures that I forgot to add the felt flowers to this - so I have to go back and do that.

Cute huh!  Think I'll need to make myself one.  Hope you liked my projects - stop back soon! ~Maureen
