This month we did the "Thumping" technique - each time I say that it sounds weird to me - but that is what it is called. If you read the directions below it says to "Huff" - so we spent the night "Thumping and Huffing" and I know that doesn't sound good. But the end result - wonderful.
Here is a closer up look at one of the feathers made with this technique - it give it a lot of character - and dimension. It is a wonderful technique to use for nature type elements - because so many times they are beautiful, colorful and imperfect.
