This is just such a fun kit - I love the vintage feel of everything in the kit - brings me right back to my childhood (that was a long time ago - lol).
My first project uses the stocking. I decided not to use the precut images for mine, and instead decorated a fun tag with products outside the kit - I used the tag from the Merriest Trees dies - as I needed something long enough for names.
I then use different elements from the Textured Florals dies for the elements as I added as well as circle punched from a regular office punch. Tied on Pool Party PomPom ribbon tied with some Real Red/White Bakers Twine. I love how these looked filled with some treats and there are 8 in the pack - one for each of my 8 grandkids!
To make the name I used our Mini Alphabet dies. I run a bunch of them through in different colors and this is how I store them - in a small container from the Dollar Store.
I do really love all the vintage elements that came in the kit, so since I didn't use on my stocking - I decided to use on Christmas cards. This one is a base of Shaded Spruce with an embossed layer (using the Forever Plaid 3D EF) in Moody Mauve and the elements die cut in Shaded Spruce. Then added some of the tags and ornament elements. Final touch were some of my Neutrals sequins. How fun and retro is this.
I love how everything turned out, and will used every element of this kit!
I hope you've enjoyed these alternative ideas. Now be sure to hop through the rest to get some more great inspiration. Don't forget to leave a comment, as we'd love to hear what you think.
