It's Sunday - and time to share another great card and free tutorial! Today I'm sharing a fun and simple card using the Watercolor World set that is continuing on into the next catalog. This was a must have stamp for me - and it's so easy to personalize where it is from to where it is to.  Hope you like it!  Enjoy!

·       Stamp Pads: Granny Apple Green Ink (147095); Mossy Meadow Ink (147111); Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (132708)

·       Tools: Sponge Daubers (133773); Layering Circles Dies (151770)

·       Miscellaneous: Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker (100082); Neutrals Stampin’ Write Marker Assortment (147148); Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack (154877); Pearl Basic Jewels (144219); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Stampin’ Seal Adhesive (152813)

 Measurements:

 ·       Basic White CS: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored at 4 ¼”; Strip 3/8” x 4 ½”; Layer 3 ¾” x 5”

·       Pear Pizzazz CS: 3 ¾” x 5”

·       Old Olive CS: 4” x 5 ¼”

 Instructions:

 1.    Adhere Old Olive layer to the card base; then adhere the Pear Pizzazz layer to the Old Olive layer.

2.    Ink up the Watercolor World with Granny Apple Green, then using the dauber add some of the Mossy Meadow ink randomly directly onto the stamp, and using the Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write marker brush end – add some accents around edges of image directly onto the stamp.  Huff on it to remoisten and stamp onto the Basic White layer.

3.    Fussy cut the entire image leaving a border around and adhere to the Pear Pizzazz layer.

4.    Using a circle die as an arc – draw a dotted line from point A (where you live) to point B (where the recipient lives) using the Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker.  Color two small pearls with the Light Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blend and add these two pearls to mark point A and point B.

5.    Stamp sentiment from the Sending Smiles set using the Memento ink on the thin strip of Basic White. Flag the right end – and pop up on the map using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

SF-2023 April Blog Hop - All About the Flowers!

Flowers - I love flowers - I know people say you can have too many flower stamps - but I have to disagree.  I love every time a new floral stamp comes out and buy most of them.  For my project I used the amazing "Artistically Inked" stamp set and matching Artistic dies from the SU! Annual catalog - I loved it when it first came out and am so happy they are continuing into the new catalog.

I am a clean and simple stamper - I love pops of color against a white background - so that is the route I decided to take with this card - 

I got that beautiful background texture from using the Online Exclusive Basics 3D embossing folders - I love them all - but this polka dot one is definitely a favorite (#161598 - Basics 3D Embossing Folders - $30.00/3*).

Then I created my flower cluster -

The colors I used were Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Tahitian Tide and Pool Party - I used a die to cut the base layer of this and my brushes to brush color around the end - then created a little cluster with the flowers and added a tiny sparkly bow.

For the sentiment I used three layers to make it stand out - 

A strip of colored cardstock, a strip of Basic White cardstock with stamped splatters, and then the strip with the sentiment - all layered together.  Then I stopped - I loved it just the way it was.  Hope you like it too!

Simple Sketch #4 Challenge - April 2023

 

Join me for some new FUN! Each month this year I will be doing a new sketch challenge around the last week of the month.

A Monthly Sketch Challenge!

Here is the sketch! Use it as your inspiration - your card should contain all the layers, but you can take some liberty with them. Add any embellishments you wish.

 You might recognize this from one of my videos this month here is the card I created -

MEASUREMENTS:

My measurements -

A2 Base 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” on long side

2 – 1” x 3” panels

2 – 1” x 4 ½” panels

Center pieces – 1 ¾” x 3” and 1 7/8” x 3 1/8”

The rest is up to you - just try and have similar layers!  The coloring on the sketch, is just to show the layers - use any colors you wish!!

Share it Sunday! Free tutorial - Tropical Leaf Bundle - Online Exclusive!

Tropical Leaf Bundle

Supplies:

• Stamp Sets: Tropical Leaf Bundle (161242); Stamps and Punch

• Card Stock and Paper: Basic White (159231); 

• Stamp Pads: Coastal Cabana (147097); Pool Party (147107), Mint Macaroon (147106), Pacific Point (147098) (use any combination of current colors that you like!)

• Tools: Something Fancy Dies (160424); Bone Folder (102300); Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder (160580)

• Miscellaneous: Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108); Balmy Blue & White Variegated Ribbon (160448); Adhesive Backed Milky Dots (160582); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755)

Measurements:

• Basic White: 8 ½ X 6 scored at 3 and burnished with the Bone Folder

• 1 Sheet Basic White for Leaf images and sentiment label 

• 8 inches of ribbon

Instructions:

1. Emboss one half of the card with the Cane Weave 3D Embossing folder 

2. Stamp a dozen leaf sentiments in the shades of your choosing.  Using the same color used for the leaf, stamp the leaf vein.  

3. Use the Tropical Leaf Punch to cut the leaves.

4. Stamp the “thanks so much” sentiment from the Tropical Leaf Bundle using the darkest shade (here Pacific Point).  Use the Something Fancy frame die to die cut the stamped sentiment.  Die cut three additional blank sentiment frames to add dimension to the sentiment.

5. Use a blender brush to lightly add a wash of color (here Pool Party) around the sentiment die cut for added dimension.  

6. Adhere the tropical leaves to the middle of the panel as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Trim the top and bottom leaves as shown.

7. Place two strips of Balmy Blue and White Variegated Ribbon under the sentiment stack.

8. Adhere the layers of sentiment stack using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

9. Adhere Milky Dots to the sentiment stack as shown.

10. Adhere sentiment stack over ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Each month’s packet contents – 1 pack of cardstock (24 sheets), 1 ink pad, 1 ink refill, 1 Stampin’ Write marker, 5 Treat Bags, 8 - 6”x6” pieces of Luster Specialty paper, 8 - 6”X6” DSP pieces, 30 In Color Adhesive Dots, Approximately 2 yds of Textured Ribbon (1/5 of a spool), 5 yds of Jute Twine, and some BONUSES: a hand stamped card from me featuring your In-Color color of the month plus 4 Bright & Beautiful M&M Cards and Envelopes (at the end of the 5 months you will have received a full package of these free.)   Colors each month will be assigned randomly - but, at end of five months you will have all five colors.

Blends Combo Pack Add-on Option – if you would like to also receive the coordinating Blends Alcohol Markers for your colors (this year in all five colors) you will be charged an additional $12.00 per month to cover the cost, total $55.50 per month (plus $7.50 priority shipping every month if I am shipping to you).  You must indicate blends add-on at the time of your signing up and will receive the blends for your color, for all five months.  In your last shipment, if you are doing the Blends Add-on, you will receive an added Bonus of a package of dimensionals as a thank you from me - FREE!

I will bill you at the beginning of each month (first billing May 1) by email.  You can pay by Pay Pal Friends and Family; Venmo Friends; or you can send me a check each month (or even mail me checks for every month pre-dated and I cash one a month) if that is easier.  As long as payment is received on time, your kit will be mailed around the 15^th of each month.  You will have all the coordinating products for your color of the month – so you’ll be able to start creating with it right away. 

At the end of FIVE months you’ll have it ALL and be an In-color queen! 

Note: to join--you can sign up anytime now till May 1st to have your kit products ordered May 2, as soon as the new catalog goes live.  At that point you are committed to the five months – and will be billed as stated above for future months.  I will continue to take sign-ups for this club through May 31, 2023.
