May Club - Polished Stone Technique

Polished Stone Technique I'm sure many of you have done this technique before - it's an oldie but a goodie.  So simple, fun and easy.  And each time you do it you get a little different result.
Above is a close up of the sample we made at club to put on our technique card below  -  which also features some brief instructions!
Below are four samples of the cards we made - you can see that even though we used the same colors - each one turned out different from the others.  I did not re-ink my cotton - so from left to right is my first to my last one done with the same alcohol and ink.
Here's a close up of one of the cards - isn't that a lovely background?  The flower was then stamped with black memento ink (note - be careful your stamp does not slide - the glossy cardstock can be a bit slick); then we cut out the sentiment, scallop and leaf and added.  Final touch on the outside a little coordinating bow.
And a little flourish on the inside and envelope to bring it all together.
Hope you liked this technique.  Stop back soon for more inspiration! ~Maureen
