First my card - I used Tranquil Tide, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso to create this beauty. I used the eclipse technique to "pop" the word FALL. Then added some matching ribbon to finish it.
Here's the card a little more from the side so you can see how the letters literally do POP off the card. I added a flower on the inside (see the first picture) and one on the envelope to match (see the picture directly above).
Then to match I covered a small magnetic notebook that I had gotten for the purpose of altering. On this I used the same sentiment, but eliminated the word "you", so I can record what I am thankful for.... It's a wonderful way to daily remember all the blessings in my life. When I concentrate on all the positives - the negatives just seem to blow away in those fall breezes!
This last picture isn't great (a bit of a blur) - but I wanted to show how it opens and closes - the piece to the right of the picture folds down on top of the notebook, and the piece from the left of the picture clicks down on top because of the magnets in each section. The paper in the notepad is a lighter shade of the espresso - so matches perfectly!
