Merry Christmas from Tennessee!!

 Merry "White" Christmas!!
So - we woke to this beautiful site above yesterday!  So wonderful to have a White Christmas with family.  But we also woke to this -
That is COLD - everyone I talk to here says they have never seen it get this cold before - so I guess it is all our fault - we must have brought it with us :)
We've been here 2 weeks now - and everything feels so strange.  But, I know each day will get more normal - and we can't wait to celebrate with our kids and grandkids this weekend; and again next.  So thankful for this opportunity!  Plans for today are to stay in, stamp and drink hot chocolate :)
~*~*~*~*~
To catch you all up - we left Prescott Dec. 8th with two vehicles and Paul pulling a trailer.  Arrived here at our rental on Dec. 11th - after driving all day through heavy rain on the 10th.  We are out in the sticks, on 84 acres of wooded land - but really pretty.
On the 13th we were able to go to our grandson, Meeko's, kindergarten Christmas program - he was a Lord a Leaping (dressed like a frog with a bow tie - that's him with the curly black hair) - so cute!!
Since then we have spent the time getting organized, seeing Heidi's family and enjoying the beauty and nature around us - here is some of the wildlife from our backyard -
Cardinal on feeder.

Deer in backyard

More deer in backyard.

Red Fox in backyard.
Also, driving around and checking out the area -
Driving along a country road we live off of.

The sunsets here rival Arizona's!
My Christmas Cactus survived the trip - and even held onto a couple blossoms for us - and Paul put up a few lights so we have the holiday spirit just a bit here.

So - we are thankful to be here and looking forward to new adventures and much family time.  We are also sad to leave behind so many friends - praying we can all keep in touch.  Wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas and New Years!  Back soon with some wonderful stamping inspiration.  Always stamping, Maureen

Farewell to Prescott - and a blogging Hiatus!!

Hey all my friends - below is a farewell letter to my local peeps - and it has a ton of information to bring you all up to date - so I thought I would post here also.  Change - change and more change!  I will be taking the rest of November and all of December off from blogging (or at least I think that - lol).  Plan to see me back here in January 2023 with much more creative inspiration.  Till then I appreciate any prayers as we go through this big move!!   Love you all - see you soon! -Maureen

~*~*~*~*~

To all of my awesome friends and customers,

This is a little long – but it’s the scoop – and I’m going to be vulnerable here.  So, it’s really happening – we are moving again – this time to Tennessee to be closer to our children and grandchildren.  Wow this move is bittersweet.  We had thought we were in our forever home , but after much prayer and listening, we’ve decided this is what we should do and feel very comfortable with the decision.

Here's the scoop – we have sold our home here in Prescott, AZ and are closing November 30, 2022.  We will rent back here for a few days, and leave sometime between Dec. 5 & 8 (TBD) for Manchester, TN.  We were not able to find a house to buy that met our needs; so, for the time being we will be renting a fully furnished home month to month until we find just the right home.

I’ll be having a huge craft sale here at my home on Monday and Tuesday, November 21 and 22 from 1PM – 6PM each day.  Feel free to come by – I have tons of Stamping stuff as well as many other items crafters love (yarn, tools, fabric, needlepoint kits, wood pieces and more).  Plus, buy what you want, and I will apply ½ of what you pay toward an order of new Stampin’ Up! product – you will only have to pay the S&H and tax.  For example – buy $100 of craft items – and you can order $50 of Stampin’ Up! items from any current catalog free – and you will only pay the S&H and tax on that purchase.  Nice!!  This is a blow out sale – all bundles $25; individual sets $5 and $10; all DSP .20/sheet; cardstock .10/sheet – you get the picture.

Then, on December 3 (8:30 am – 4pm) and December 4 (9:00 am – 2pm) there will be an estate sale at our home, but done by a hired company.  We are having them sell nearly all of our home goods and furnishings, as we do not want to have to put it in storage while we are looking for a new home to buy.  Lots of furniture, TV’s, glassware, books, craft stuff, blankets, tools and more.  Please spread the word on both of these sales, as we really need to sell, sell, sell.

As far as my Stampin’ Up! business – there will be a lull – I will not be having classes or doing my regular Facebook lives, probably through the end of 2022 – although you will hear from me from during this time – just not as often as now.  I just need to protect my mental and physical health and need to pace myself, so I can enjoy the holidays with my family.  But, I am in no way stopping!  I fully plan to continue and to grow my business and will be adding some different and fun opportunities in 2023 – so good things lie ahead.  Watch for details to come 😊

I am outright asking you, my customers, to continue to support me and my small business, by staying tuned for more info, placing orders and watching for my updates.  You can like and follow my Facebook page at facebook.com/crazystampinglady.  You can also subscribe to updates from my blog at crazystampinglady.blogspot.com and you can continue to purchase products through my website – stampingwithmaureen.stampinup.net; all of these things really help me.  I do have a couple people on my team locally who will be doing classes – so if you’d like their information – please let me know.

Please NOTE that November 23 is that last day I can put an order in for it to get here on time for me to get it to you.  So let me know if you need anything.  Of course, after that date, you can always order on my website above and have it sent directly to you.

Beginning December 1, mail should go to TN - so drop me an email at crazystampinglady@gmail.com if you need my new address (or my local address for my sales here). Thank you all for being such wonderful, supportive friends – you have blessed my life abundantly – and I hope we will continue to be in touch.  Take care and remember to always be creative – it is sooooo good for the soul!

Love you all, Maureen

PS – I’ve heard it said that if you are brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello.  So as sad as I am to leave, I am excited about the future hellos!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop November 2022 - Thank you!

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop for November 2022 - featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. We have a wide array of projects and design styles to share with you this month - all about "Thank you!"

~*~*~*~*~

Sticking with my love for fall - I had to try another organic technique I saw - and it worked! I use real leaves from my yard and pressed them onto watercolor paper using my Stamp and Emboss machine.
That's right - that beautiful leaf image on the card was made by just pressing a real leave - this one was from my Mimosa tree. There is no ink applied to the leaf at all - it is just the juices from the leaf that ooze out as you run it through the machine. How amazing is that?!?!
Basics - My card base is one of the Kraft notecards (#159247 - $10.00*) - a 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" layer of Old Olive cardstock (#100702 - $9.25*) - and a strip of Cajun Craze 2" x 5" (#119684 - $9.25*), then a 3" x 4 1/2" piece of watercolor paper (#149612 - $9.00).
TIPS when doing this technique:1) choose a nice, not dry, leaf and lay it onto your watercolor paper with the back of the leaf against the paper as this gives you the best image of the veins. 2) Layer it on your plates just as if you were using an embossing folder. 3) Use paper shims if you do not get a good enough impression. 4) Have a damp paper towel or baby wipes handy to wipe up any excess juices from the leaf after running through. 5) Experiment with different leaves and have fun.
I used sentiments for the outside and inside from the Bamboo Beauty Set (#155478 - $21.00) - such beautiful sentiments. Then I added some linen thread and a few colored gems - and done - simple, organic and beautiful.
In my opinion these are great for masculine cards - as they so beautifully reflect nature.

I hope you got some inspiration from this card. Thank you so much for stopping by and I would love to hear your thoughts and comments!

2022 Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Welcome to our 2022 Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!
My name is Maureen and I'm a coffee addict - so this group is right up my alley.  Although I like (not love) the taste of a good black tea it's not my go to.
But, I love the thought of tea - the whole feeling it evokes of a quiet, gentle time.   I have so much tea it is unbelievable, as well as many teapots and teacups - but I rarely drink it - go figure.  So for today's project - I'm going to go with the tea!
I created this cute card (who wouldn't love to get together for tea - right?, although my cup will most likely have coffee in it), using Stampin' Up!'s Cup of Tea bundle from page 13 of their current annual catalog.  I just love this sentiment and the darling little tea cup.
For the cup it's self, I layered the open die cut of Pale Papaya cardstock onto our Sweet Sorbet DSP, curved the sides a bit, and added two sets of two layers of Stampin' Dimensionals - so the cup would curve and pop up a bit. Love the way it makes the cup look.  Then added those three adorable little hearts just to make the recipient smile.

Then I finished the inside with a cute little Friendship saying and a few little Sweet Sorbet flowers.

I also never like a naked envelope - so had to add something to that too.

I really hope you liked my card and would love to have your comments.

Hope you enjoyed my card - be sure to check out all the other great submissions.  You can check the SHOP NOW tab at the top of this page to find my current hostess code at any time as well as a link to my shop.

am excited to be a Super Sponsor for this hop!
