A HAPPY Happy Birthday

Today I'm sharing a card we made at a recent Coffee and Cards class and I am LOVIN' it!  It was so quick and easy, and it would be so easy to change up the colors to make it for a child, teen, man - FUN!!!
The balloons were punched out with our Pop of Pink DSP and Gold Foil cardstock as well as Melon Mambo.  The strings and envelope were done with Balloon Celebration and the sentiment is our single Stylized Birthday stamp - which is a focal point on it's own.  Enjoy - Case - Copy - Have Fun!! ~Maureen

Club Hostess Gift

Hi All - each time my club meets my hostesses get a gift from me.  Each time the club renews - I come up with a new gift idea.  So today I'm sharing what I made for my club hostess in August, Yvonne.  It's a composition notebook covered with some beautiful (retired) SU! DSP.  I love the look of elegance.  To cover these you just need to measure the book cover and cut the DSP to fit.  I then trim up any extra eges after adhering with either spray adhesive - or our Tear and Tape adhesive. Tie on a little coordinating ribbon.
To make it personal - I added her initial and of course finished the inside covers also.
Here is the present all completed - you can see I added an RSVP pen with matching DSP and put it into a SU clear bag for presentation.
Each hostess in this rotation will receive one - although the paper color and styles will vary.  I'll be sure to share them all with you.  See you soon!  ~Maureen

Baby Wipe Pad Technique

So I left you with this teaser yesterday - HERE
And this is the card we made with that pallet.  I took the leaf from the Limited Time "Thoughtful Branches" set - and first, using the pad above we stamp several leaves on the base.  Then we used the speckles from "Gorgeous Grunge" and the pad above to add some pretty splatters to the base.  Stamped the verse from "Thoughtful Branches" in Pumpkin Pie ink.  We then stamped several leaves and cut them out along with the other open weave leaves from the set.  To complete we tied some of SU's linen thread around the card and finished it with a bow.  We curled the leaves around a marker to give them some dimension, then added them to the card with glue dots, one at a time - making them cascade down.
I really love how this card turned out.  The final accent was the little pearls that were colored with an orange sharpie.  That left me with the baby wipe below - so pretty!
So I let it dry and cut out a bunch more of the leaves - now lets see if I can come up with a card for them.
See y'all soon - so happy to be making FALL items - my favorite time of the year!!  ~Maureen

August Technique Club

So our August club met and we had so much fun using the Baby Wipe Pad technique - it is basically using baby wipes as your pad, and place drops of ink colors of your choice on it to stamp your image.  The moisture in the baby wipes help keep the ink wet, and let it blend - so that you end up with beautiful color palette's.  For the butterflies (from Kinda Eclectic), on our technique card for their binder - we used Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder, and Pool Party.
But for the greeting card we made using the technique we used Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Tip Top Taupe - Stop back to see what we did with this amazing group of colors.
This club is full - but I am in the process of forming a second club.  If you are interested and live in Prescott, AZ or the surrounding area - please email me.  My email is on the right sidebar.  See you soon!  ~Maureen

Quick and cute and versatile

So recently I was part of a swap and I came up with the card below as a prototype.  I really liked it, but cutting all those layers was going to be a pain as I needed to make 35.
So I changed it up a bit below - which made it quicker, easier and I liked it just as well.
Then I took that same layout, changed up the colors, added a bit of sponging and turned them into congrats cards for my TEAM!
Here's a close up.
Hope you like them.  They come together very quickly.  I'm thinking you could use just about any color combo and any sentiment.  You do fussy cut the flowers, but the image is very quick and easy to cut out.  I just may need  to make a few more :)  ~Maureen
